Dr. Luis Lopez welcomes and thanks you for visiting this website.

Dr. Lopez graduated in 1996 as Pediatrician from Jersey City Medical Center, which is affiliated to Seton Hall University, New Jersey. During this year, he was Chief Resident, and got his Board Certification that same year. He is a Board Certified Pediatrician.

He started his practice in Texas at United Medical Center, a multi-specialty group with more than 20 providers, where he also served as Assistant Medical Director. At Fort Duncan Medical Center in Eagle Pass, Texas Dr. Lopez has served both as an active staff member, as well as in different levels of Administrative Positions, including, Chief of Staff in 2001, Board Member from 2001-2004, President of the Hospital Board, and Chief of Pediatrics in 2004.

In the years 1998, 1999, and 2001 he was nominated for Physician of the year in Eagle Pass, and got awarded Physician of the year in 2001 by the Eagle Pass Business Journal.

Dr. Lopez has been training Physician Assistant Students since 1988, when he become Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the School of Allied Health Professions at UTHSCSA. He is also a Pediatric Advance Life Support instructor, which involves training physicians, nurses and emergency service personnel in this area.

Dr. Lopez is affiliated to the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Board of Medical Specialties, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Pediatric Society, and the Maverick County Medical Society.

Dr. Luis Lopez is a dedicated family man. He has been married for over 25 years and has two children who have graduated from Texas A&M University. Dr. Lopez likes to be around kids and enjoys playing and joking with them. He is also a sports fan. He is a big fan of the Texas Aggies (Gig 'Em Ags!), and he especially enjoys basketball and his favorite team, the San Antonio Spurs. Go Spurs Go!
